Detroit-based band Almost Free draws on a love of 1990s era alternative rock, bringing earnest lyrics and sentimental value to a genre that can often be dominated by obliqueness. Taking its home city of Detroit by storm, the band is spreading to other corners of the rock nation, gaining momentum through solid press and well recieved live shows. With Almost Free's debut album seeing official release in June of 2011, their future will be determined by their ability to reach listeners beyond its stage show.
