London-based four-piece Stereo Son formed in late 2008, and despite lineup changes, the band had completed a debut EP produced by the legendary Chris Potter--known for working with U2, The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney--by early 2011. With a sound very characteristic of UK indie rock, the group creates guitar-driven anthems filled with English accent-heavy vocals, as well as the occasional acoustic ballad indebted to American emo pop. With its polished production on album and charismatic stage presence live, Stereo Son is an act set to break through into the mainstream.
