The Chancers is a ska punk outfit from the Czech Republic. Formed in Prague in 1998, the band aims to find a balance between old-school two-tone ska and the 3rd wave punk hybridization that flared up in the mid-1990 via bands such as Reel Big Fish and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. The band sings in English and creates songs full of quick upstroke guitar strumming, occasional punk rock rhythms and bouncy horn lines that provide the melodic hooks. The Chancers releases its albums on its own record label and has earned a reputation as the Czech Republic's top ska band thanks to national radio and television airplay.
