James Copeland (aka Broken Toy) is a psychedelic trance DJ from Cape Town, South Africa. Creating electronic music since 2001, Copeland officially started billing his work under the Broken Toy moniker in 2003. With pulsing, hard-hitting beats nestled up alongside swirling synthesizer washes, his style is one meant specifically for the dance-floor. Occasionally, his tracks will detour into trippy breakdowns that eventually build to cathartic beat drops, lending a touch of unpredictability to where his DJ sets will take you. As Broken Toy, Copeland continues to jet set around the world, spinning at renowned parties and festivals.
