Entirely uninterested with incorporating modern elements to its vintage blues sound, Tyrannosaurus Chicken remains keen on recreating the vibe of some of the genre's biggest names, like Robert Johnson, Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters. The group is comprised of just two members, Smilin' Bob Lewis and Rachel Ammons, whose voices and instrument picking blend beautifully with one another. Banjo, fiddle and foot stomps combine to evoke images of porch-side musicians playing well into the night. Tyrannosaurus Chicken's purist style has won it many fans of blues music who appreciate its no-frills approach to the classic American genre.
