The Boys 'n the Barrels is a six-piece band from Minnesota that explores rustic American genres such as bluegrass, folk and Americana. Popular as a live act and known to frequent many jam band-oriented music festivals, the group keeps its instrumentation stripped-down and traditional in nature. Upright bass, fiddle, acoustic guitar, harmonica and a bit of percussion accompany the lead vocal trade-offs and harmonies of members Travis Palmer and Nick Rodriguez. Despite its influences and adherence to old-timey styles however, The Boys 'n the Barrels manages to present itself as a rollicking, high-energy unit that aims to get people dancing.
