Calling their style of music "mountain-grass," the musicians of Colorado-based band James and the Devil blend rootsy mountain folk with fast-picking bluegrass instrumentals. The five-piece puts a good deal of emphasis on its live show, attempting to keep the audience constantly moving by putting forth tremendous energy and working a few cover songs into its set. Primarily touring throughout its home state, the band rarely ventures across Colorado state lines, but does occasionally play festivals in other parts of the country.
