About

While attending college together in Oklahoma, four friends decided to start a band that would explore their mutual admiration for both jam rock and electronic music. After only existing as a group for roughly three years, MONTU has been able to open for some heavy-hitters of these respective genres, such as Umphrey's McGee, Disco Biscuits and Girl Talk. The band utilizes the basic rock setup of electric guitar, bass and drums, and couples it with trance-inspired keyboard and synthesizer work. The result is a spacey and psychedelic twist on the standard grooves and technical prowess of jam music.
