Formed in 2007 The Jim Jones Revue is a rock and roll band from London that fuses elements of garage rock, punk and blues into its sound. After lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Jones met lead guitarist Rupert Orton in 2007, they bonded over their shared love for straightforward rock and decided to form The Jim Jones Revue with three other musicians. The five-piece outfit recorded its self-titled debut album in only two days, and the record was released in 2008 by Punk Rock Blues Records. Borrowing the aggressive guitar shredding of punk and the cool piano of blues music, the band creates rock and roll that nods to the 1950s but with louder, more distorted overtones. The Jim Jones Revue Released its follow-up record Burning Your House Down, in 2010.
