Michael Chapman is a signer/songwriter and guitarist from England who began his career by playing jazz in the various popular British folk clubs throughout the 1960s. First appearing on the London and Cornwall folk music scenes in 1967, with John Martyn and Roy Harper, Chapman would go on to release his debut LP, Rainmaker, in 1969. Having received critical laudation throughout the entirety of his career, Chapman has built and secured a reputation as being one of England's more respected folk-inspired jazz musicians.
