Paul Merton

Paul Merton is an English comedian, writer and actor best known for his improvisational skills. Most of Merton's humor is marked by his deadpan and dark point of view and delivery. He has been a member of the London Comedy Store Players since 1985, regularly performing with them to this day. The comic has appeared on Whose Line is it Anyway? where he achieved a breakthrough as a television performer. He has also appeared on Saturday Night Live, Have I Got News for You, and his own show, Paul Merton: The Series. Merton has won numerous awards during his comedy career, including BAFTA's "Best Entertainment Performance" award in 2003 after seven previous nominations.
