Austin, Texas-based band Iris is one of synthpop's greatest practitioners. Starting in 1993, the band has been exploring the possibilities of 1980s synths and electronics since before many of today's biggest synthpop groups. Though potentially underrated, Iris has a solid and loyal following of supporters with a consistent touring schedule and ongoing album releases.
