Karamelo Santa is a Latin rock band from Mendoza, Argentina that is known for its eclectic sound that blends ska, punk, cumbia and hip-hop together into a surprisingly listenable and cohesive whole. Formed in 1993, the same year it recorded and released its widely popular debut album, La Kulebra, Karamelo Santo quickly established itself as a premier Latin rock band of its generation. Known for its slightly wacky aesthetic, the band has built up a substantially large fan base in its native Argentina by maintaining a respectably busy touring and recording schedule.
