Vader is a death metal band that emerged out of Olsztyn, Poland, in 1983 with an impressive speed metal sound. The band first evolved into a thrash outfit before capturing its signature style of death metal and releasing its debut album, The Ultimate Incantation, in 1992 with Earache Records. Vader subsequently collected an international audience with its rigorous touring schedule, which included headlining tours throughout Europe and North America. Despite a shifting lineup that has left Piotr Wiwczarek as its only remaining founder, Vader continues to release new material, including its well received 2014 LP, Straight to Hell.
