Magnus Öström

Magnus Öström is a Swedish jazz drummer who is best known as being a member of the well respected jazz act the Esbjörn Svensson Trio. After the group met its demise in 2008, the members all went their separate ways, with Öström breaking out on his own--helming an outfit of adept and competent jazz musicians. Known for his knack of odd time signatures and rhythmic syncopations, Öström is one of the more revered drummers from the Scandinavian region and to see him is an opportunity that shouldn't be passed up.
