About

Monolord is a metal trio from Gothenburg, Sweden that's comprised Thomas V Jäger, Esben Willems and Mika Häkki. Making a distinctly sludgy style of doom metal, the group released its debut album, Empress Rising, in 2014 and since then the group has kept active, releasing additional LPs, touring and building a reputation for itself as one of Sweden's more capable modern metal acts.
