Molly Hatchet is a hard rock band from Jacksonville, Florida that injects a bold southern flavor into its music. Founded in 1975, the band released its eponymous debut album in 1978 to critical and commercial laudation, kicking off its most successful era. Throughout various tours and a handful of platinum albums, the band collected a dedicated fanbase with its boogie and blues-drenched sound. Though Molly Hatchet's commerical appeal had dropped by the mid-1980s, the group continues to perform and release new music, including its 2010 record, Justice.
