Superpunk is pop punk/garage rock band from Hamburg, Germany that has experienced a significant amount of success on the German touring circuit since being founded in 1996. Comprised of five friends who were heavily influenced by the "mod" brand of English dance music called northern soul, as well as the minimalist aesthetic of garage rock, Superpunk managed to combine these into a lighter, more pop-oriented version of German punk.
