Java brings the world of musette to the mainstream music scene mixed with rap. Musette is accordion music, traditionally played at open-air dance festivals. Java was formed in 2000 and its debut album, Hawaï, was released the same year. The band’s official slogan “Sex, accordion, and alcohol” reflects the whimsicality in Java’s lyrics, tunes, and attitude.
