Mexico City rock rap group Molotov is one of the city's most successful groups. Winners of four Latin Grammy awards, Molotov is one of the few Mexican hip-hop groups combining rock to have reached both a critical and commercial level of success. With fiery political lyrics aimed at Mexico's oppressive government, Molotov due great justice to both their name and their audience. Known for their participation in the popular Mexican film Y Tu Mamá También, the group is now a part of both Mexico's music and film canon.
