Yo Yo Mundi is considered a folk rock band, while in its earlier years it would be classified as combat folk, before their move into a more singer/songwriter feel. The group came together in 1988 in Acqui Terme, Italy, and has had goals and passions since its beginnings. Yo Yo Mundi tries to keeps its connections with its roots, while being part of and promoting its own political viewpoints, such as animal rights, to which the first album, La diserzione degli animali del circo, is dedicated.
