About

The British Music Experience is an interactive exhibition of British music history that originally opened at the at The 02 Bubble in London in 2009. In 2015, the museum moved into its current home in Liverpool's Cunard Building where audio-visual technology is used to transport fans back to some of the defining moments from the last 60 years of music, fashion and art. The exhibition hosts live music and houses personal belongings of British music's most influential names, including David Bowie's handwritten lyrics for his song "Five Years," Noel Gallagher's Union Jack Epiphone guitar, Mick Jagger's 1970s white jumpsuit ,and clothing worn by Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Rotten and Jimmy Page. The museum also features the Gibson Interactive Studio where fans are given the change to learn how to play classic songs from pre-recorded instructional videos and a virtual dance instructor that teaches, films and places fans in a music video from the past. The British Music Experience has a bit of everything from glam rock, punk, metal and new romantics to jazz, reggae, ska, Brit-pop and of course Beatle-mania.
