Hisako Kawamura

Born in Japan and moving to Germany at the age of 5, Hisako Kawamura's youth was spent juggling cultural differences--picking and choosing which ones fit and didn't fit her own unique personality. Growing to become an adept classical pianist, this sense of cultural plucking is also evident in her playing. Kawamura isn't afraid to hijack a number of musical traits from well known piano playing greats and blend them together to create a well curated and original end product.
