Paolo Fresu is an Italian jazz trumpeter and flugelhornist. Initially gaining popularity on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia, Fresu would eventually build an international name for himself with a busy touring schedule as well as a well-respected album output, beginning with his 1985 debut album, Ostinato.
