Former alpine skier, Hansi Hinterseer, is known for his success as a member of the Austrian Ski Team but in 1994 he started a career as a singer. His music reflects his Austrian background as a performer of heimat genre. translated as "homeland genre," a popular genre in music and film from Germany, Switzerland, and Austria in the early 70's. Since the start of his singing career, Hinterseer has gained many musical achievements including the "Best of the Alps Award" in 2010.
