Purple Schulz is a German pop singer who rose to fame during the 1980s. He released his first two albums, 1982's Die Härte and 1983's Hautnah, under the name Neue Heimat before dropping Verliebte Jungs, his first LP as Purple Schulz, in 1985. He has since continued to perform and release new material, including his 2012 effort, So und nicht anders.
