Kabarett Distel is famous for its political satire and dark humour. The ensemble performs classical cabaret that deals with current topics and issues. It is the biggest cabaret ensemble in Germany and reaches a lot of people due to the convenient venue right by the Reichstag building in Berlin. Being privately owned, the Distel ensemble has a free choice of their topics and the content of their plays, which causes controversy but also gets them a lot of attention.
