Charlotte Roche

Charlotte Roche is a singer/songwriter and author who was born in England but currently resides in Germany. Forming the garage rock group The Dubinskis in 1993 with three female friends, Roche created a stage persona for herself that was invented intentionally to offend and shock people. Self immolation was a regular occurrence during performances. Transitioning to writing, Roche released her semi-autobiographical debut novel, Feuchtgebiete, in 2008 and it would go on to become a critically revered best seller.
