Max Goldt

Max Goldt is a German author and musician known for his satirical voice and ironic perspective. Since his 1984 debut album Die majestätische Ruhe des Anorganischen, and particularly through his spoken word recordings, he has built a reputation based off his his signature style of covering familiar everyday topics, frequently changing his topics and referencing pop culture. Though much of his work is humorous, Goldt began to focus his criticisms on the limitations of language and of society in a more serious light starting with his 2000 recording, Die Aschenbechergymnastik.
