Doug Paisley

Doug Paisley is a Canadian singer/songwriter based out of the Toronto area. Inspired to make music from a love of vintage country and bluegrass, his songwriting is a sparse and intimate reminder of eras that have long since passed. Using delicate folk guitar, a touch of country and Americana twang, and heartbreaking, melancholic melodies, his work has led to some devoted appreciation and collaboration requests from respected singer/songwriters such as Feist and Bonnie 'Prince' Billy. He released his self-titled debut LP in 2008, and followed it up with a well-received followup in 2010, entitled Constant Companion.
