Modern Life is War is a hardcore punk band from Marshalltown, IA that has built a strong reputation for itself with powerful and incendiary live shows. Founded in 2002, the group blended various elements from melodic and post-hardcore sounds and set itself apart from its peers by steering clear of standard song structures and instrumental breakdowns. Though group tensions forced the group to breakup in 2008, by 2012 Modern Life Is War decided to reform and since then the group has maintained a busy recording and touring schedule.
