In honor of one of the bands credited for bringing alternative rock to a mainstream audience, Pearl Jem is a cover band from Ireland that emulates the grunge rock band Pearl Jam. With a spirit rooted in the grunge movement of the 1990s, the band has studied craft of Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready and the rest of the Pearl Jam cast to bring to the Seattle band's music to a new generation of listeners as well as appease an audience that came of age during the peak angsty, distorted guitar-driven music scene. Pearl Jem frequently performs around the UK and has headlined European and US festivals such as the 2012 Tanglewood Music Festival in Massachusetts.
