Marcus Miller is a New York City-based jazz musician, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist who is best known for his work as a bassist. Though his most well-known compositions are collaborations with prolific artists including trumpeter Miles Davis, vocalist Luther Vandross and saxophonist David Sanborn, he has maintained a lucrative solo career beginning with his 1983 debut album, Suddenly. He has since released well over a dozen records as a band leader, including the 2012 studio album, Renaissance.
