Formed in 2006, the group played under several names like "Celli" and "Cellodarity" for a while until finally arriving upon the name The Portland Cello Project. The band hails from Portland, OR, and is a collective of cello players from all around the city. The group covers songs of all genres. AIming to carry cello music to wherever it has not been the band has toured across the USA. It has collaborated with quite a few of its peers as well.
