The Worcester Sharks was an American Hockey League team and the top minor league affiliate to the San Jose Sharks. Founded in 1996, the team played its home games at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts and was a member of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference. Jonathan Cheechoo and Logan Couture were just a couple of examples of successful players who were groomed by Worcester before joining the NHL.
