Founded by former Deep Purple member David Coverdale, Whitesnake is one of England's most infamous hair metal bands. Its 1987 self-titled debut became an international best-seller and spawned the hits "Is This Love" and "Here I Go Again." Throughout the 1990s, the band consistently embarked on world tours, collecting a massive and very dedicated following along the way. Whitesnake has since continued to release new material, including the 2011 LP Forevermore, while playing shows that cater to its devout fan base with catalog-spanning sets.
