Augustines (formerly We Are Augustines) is an indie rock band from Brooklyn that rose out of the ashes of now-defunct indie rock band Pela, in 2010. The band's debut album, Rise Ye Sunken Ships, was actually slated to be the second studio album for the band Pela, but was released digitally under Augustines to substantial critical acclaim in 2011. Still riding its early wave of success, Augustines dropped its first EP Rock the Vote, in 2012.
