Based in Brooklyn the electronic duo Timeflies is composed of vocalist Cal Shapiro and producer Rob Resnick. After meeting in Boston Cal and Rez, respectively from New York and New Jersey, bonded over their shared affinity for electro, hip-hip and the desire to transcend genre boundaries. As Timeflies the pair released its debut album The Scotch Tape, in 2011 to critical acclaim. The band was praised for its blend of electropop/electro-hop blend of rap, dubstep, blues rock, soul and pop music.
