Tim Conway was an award-winning comedian and actor who was best known as a regular on The Carol Burnett Show. Conway got his start on local television programs around Cleveland before being discovered by comedian and actress Rose Marie, who encouraged him to move to New York and audition of The Steven Allen Show. He acted as a player on the show for two seasons before securing a lead role in the 1960s WWII sticom McHale's Navy as Ensign Charles Parker, second in command to the title role. Though he received his own hour-long variety show The Time Conway Razzle Dazzle Hour, Conway saw the most success as a regular player on The Carol Burnett Show during the 1975 to 1976 season, a stint which earned him five Emmy Awards. Managing to maintain his career across several decades, he continued to act and perform into the 2000s, appearing in television series such Yes Dear and Married... With Children and lending his voice to animated series such as SpongeBob SquarePants and The Simpsons. Conway earned another Emmy for Ourstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Bucky Bright in 30 Rock. Sadly, in 2019 Conway succumbed to an illness and passed away at the age of 85.
