This Century

This Century is a pop punk band from Phoenix, Arizona that was formed in 2005 while its members were still in high school. Hard pressed to find a name for itself, the group would experiment with the names "Modern Poets" and "Evident Earth," before finalizing on This Century, after one band member quipped, "Lucky if we come up with a band name sometime this century." Releasing a handful of singles and EPs before releasing its debut LP, Sound of Fire, in 2011 on Action Theory Records, the band proved itself to be a more than capable band of the skater punk music community.
