The Hamburg based group Der Tante Renate (Aunt Renate) plays discordant electronic dance music because old 4/4 beats just weren't cutting it anymore. Drawing from two of Germany's most well established modern musical traditions, techno and metal, Der Tante Renate creates an atmosphere of merged different worlds that somehow works.
