Angular yet groovy indie rockers Thao With the Get Down Stay Down (the band isn't sure who came up with the band name) are getting heads nodding and bodies shaking everywhere they go. Combining aesthetics from the 60s and 70s with modern production and cultural references seems to work well for the group, as it has steadily grown a following in its native Virginia and across the country.
