About
One of the most influential bands of the Dutch pop community, The Scene is an alternative pop band from Amsterdam that was formed in 1979 around lead vocalist Thé Lau. Initially offering a new wave sound and English lyrics, the band slowly developed its signature Nerder pop sound and switched over to Dutch lyrics. The band released its most widely-distributed album Blauw, in 1991, earning an international fan base with the title track. The Scene released its fifteenth studio album Code, in 2012.
