iO Chicago Theater's world-renowned show, The Harold is a long form improvisation performance that begins with audience suggestions and unfolds into a series of scenes, games and characters created by a comedy team. The show has become the standard for improv comedy beyond Chicago's iO, lending its signature form to venues across the country including the Upright Citizens Brigade Theaters in Los Angeles and New York. The Harold has served as a stepping stone for iO alumni Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Tim Meadows.
