The Gates of Slumber is a doom metal band that emerged out of Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1998. Since releasing its debut album, ...The Awakening, in 2004, the band has developed a larger following abroad, more so in Germany and England than in the US, where it waited to distribute any music until its third LP, Conqueror, in 2008.
