Straddling the line between radio-friendly alternative rock and some decidedly more experimental influences can be tricky, but The Epilogues manage to bridge the gap in a rather successful fashion. The Denver, Colorado band formed in 2004 as a musical partnership between Chris Heckman and Nate Hammond, two best friends who'd bonded over rock and electronic music. With the addition of a bassist and drummer over the following years, The Epilogues' music began to take off throughout Colorado, pleasing fans of anthemic, emotionally-charged alternative rock with more than a few nods to dance music and electronic experimentation.
