The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra is a symphony orchestra based in Charlotte, North Carolina and is considered to be the largest and most active professional performing arts organization in the central Carolinas. Employing over 100 musicians to keep up with over 100 performances each year, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra takes great pride in being able to showcase a huge repertoire of orchestral music for over 200,000 satisfied concert-goers each season. In 2007, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra released its first recording of orchestral masterworks by some of the greatest composers in history, conducted the orchestra's past music director Christof Perick.
