John McLachlan developed a passion for music at a very young age. As a kid, he was particularly fond of lyrically driven songs inspired by history. He started playing the guitar in his teenage years. He wrote his first-ever song at the age of nineteen and hasn't looked back since then. McLachlan started off performing at small clubs and has gone on to perform worldwide at major venues and folk festivals.
