Hailing from Montreal The Agonist is a melodic death metal band that was formed in 2004 as The Tempest. Fronted by female lead vocalist Alissa White-Gluz, the band adopted its new name in 2007 upon signing with Century Media and releasing its debut album, Once Only Imagined. The Agonist released its third studio album Prisoners, in 2012.
