Taylor Dayne is a pop singer/songwriter from New York who rose to prominence in 1987 when her single "Tell It to My Heart" became a successful commercial hit. Going on to release a number of other well performing songs throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, Dayne became a recognizable, albeit slightly ancillary, face of pop music. Though her fame has receded substantially since her heyday, Dayne nevertheless carries on and she continues to tour fairly regularly.
